There are many useful books out there for machining, but they all have their strengths in certain areas. Reviews of each will be posted at a later time.

Below is a list of books we reference from time-to-time (or all the time!):

  1. Machinery's Handbook / Industrial Press
  2. Machine Shop Trade Secrets / James A. Harvey
  3. CNC Programming Handbook / Peter Smid
  4. Pocket Ref / Thomas J. Glover
  5. Hydraulics and Pneumatics / Andrew Parr
  6. Machine Shop Practice Volume I / Moltrecht
  7. Machine Shop Practice Volume II / Moltrecht
  8. Injection Molding: An Introduction / Potsch/Michaeli
  9. Injection Molding Machines: A User's Guide / F. Johannaber

There is much more than this that we haven't listed yet. For practical machining tricks and such, the Machine Shop Trade Secrets is a great read. Some of the other books are more technical in nature.
