Merry Christmas!

Today we dropped by Reliable Tools in Irwindale CA to pick up some tools we had recently won from their eBay auction site. It was great to see the operations and meet some of nice staff there as they manned the phones and computers, picked the items from the various bins and prep them for shipping. BTW, these guys are some of the best at packaging their eBay items for shipping.

It was overall a sunny day at nearly 80 degrees in Southern California. Now if we only could have snow around us (but not in our driveways) we could hang out in our little workshop with the fire burning and sip a little egg not while we wait for dinner with family.

Fast forward to the new year. This above post was written during the week of Christmas. This week, as we get ready for the X3 tear down, the rest of the country is frozen over. Hopefully you will all thaw out soon.

What a great time to work on your projects in the shop!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year – It’s Time To Disassemble The Sieg X3 AKA Grizzly G0463 (It’s Tear Down Time!)

Let’s start the new year off with a bang!

We’re going to tear the entire Sieg X3 AKA Grizzly G0463 benchtop mill down to its skivvies, knickers, pants, or whatever regional variant is used (we try to impress the folks from across the pond every once in a while by using such terms and/or using metric!).

It’s been sitting there in the workshop for some time doing repetitive CNC tasks for some of the small parts we make for RC cars and such. It’s time to give it a break and let it relax :)

Starting next Monday January 6, we’ll begin with a log of tear-down procedures. It should be fun!

Thanks!
