i whipped up a pricing sheet for the 8x12/14 today.. i also included the stocked and special order parts/accessories that hf tech support listed.. hope this helps some of you. assumptions have been made regarding the hf/lathemaster. this is for informational purposes only. this is not intended to promote or denounce one model over another. lathemaster serves as the baseline. hope this helps someone else in their quest for an 8x.

8"x14" Lathe Comparison Worksheet
This worksheet assumes that the Harbor Freight and LatheMaster models are identical in physical construction. Note: according to owners of both models, the bed length is identical +/- 1/4" or so. Based on pictorial reviews, both models appear to be identical from external appearance as well as the internal gear/pulley box.
